The Queensland Guidance Counselling Association (QGCA) is proud to sponsor a rural and regional conference in Ayr in June. The conference will take place at the Burdekin Theatre in Ayr on Monday 17th June and Tuesday 18th June 2024. Speakers include Dr Madeline Wishart, Dr Jenny Brown, Susi Tegen, Dan Palmer and Tegan Milton.
Day One (Monday 17th June) is open to any professional who currently works with children and youth in counselling, education and social work settings (Guidance Counsellors, Student Wellbeing Professionals, Social Workers, Counsellors, Psychologists, Teachers, Teacher Aides and Educational Leaders).
Day Two (Tuesday 18th) is for education-based guidance officers, psychologists and student wellbeing professionals from Department of Education, Catholic Education and Independent Schools.
Tickets can be purchased for individual sessions (on day one only), for single day attendance and for the complete conference. Full-day and Two-day tickets include catering. Discounted tickets are available for QGCA members.
A free session will be held on Monday afternoon at 4pm for all educational staff members regarding MALPA (Young Doctors for Life).
