‘Connecting the past to the future- a collation of career reflections from Queensland Special Education leaders.’
– Steve Roberts, Principal, Logan City Special School.

Steve has worked in Special Education for the last 20 years. He is currently Principal of Logan City Special School. Steve is passionate about advocating for students with disabilities and their families. During his time as Principal of Kuraby Special School he established opportunities to develop the capability and confidence of staff in surrounding Primary and Secondary schools to support students with disabilities. Steve continues to be committed to this work and is seeking to identify similar opportunities for Logan City Special School to support neighbouring schools in their work together. This presentation is a collation of interviews with our most experienced special education leaders as they reflect on their careers and contributions to the area of special education. Hear the combined experiences of leaders including Peter McGill, Chesleigh Hargreaves, Patricia Thiedeman, Shauna St George, Andrew Thompson and Terry Forster as they share their reflections and offer their advice for the next generation of special education leaders.
