QGCA invites you to a Twilight PD with Tegan Milton, Tuesday 13th June 5pm to 6:30pm at the Act for Kids Centre of Excellence, James Cook University. Our speaker, Tegan Milton, is the Act for Kids Program Manager and will be presenting an overview of the theory underpinning ‘Animal Assisted Activities’ and share the ‘Equine Assisted Learning’ program that they have developed and implemented, along with some example outcomes of the intervention to date across different groups of children and young people.

WHEN: Tuesday 13th June, 5pm – 6:30pm. Networking, drinks and nibblies from 5pm

Travelling from the direction of Thuringowa or Douglas
– Take Angus Smith Drive in the direction of the hospital/university
– Turn right onto Parkinson Road
– Follow Parkinson Road until you see our building (picture below)

Travelling from the direction of Aitkenvale
– Take Angus Smith Drive in the direction of the hospital/university
– Once you reach the hospital roundabout, you have two options:

Option 1:
– Take the 3rd exit at the hospital entrance roundabout onto Angus Smith Drive
– Turn left onto Parkinson Road and stay on Parkinson until you see our building(picture below)

Option 2:
– Take the 2nd exit at the hospital entrance roundabout on to James Cook Drive
– At the next roundabout, take the second exit straight onto James Cook Drive
– At the next roundabout, take the first exit straight on to James Cook Drive
– Turn right onto Buchan Road (oval to your right)
– Travel to the very end of Buchan Road where you will find us on your left (building pictured below)
